Description:
The Discovery Semiconductors Optical Coherent Receiver System provides a flexible communications platform. The heterodyne receiver is a stand-alone, turn-key system. It supports On-Off Keying (OOK) and Differential Phase-Shift Keying (DPSK) modulation formats. It achieves high receiver sensitivity, both with and without an optical pre-amplifier. It preserves the necessary characteristics of the signal to allow effective electrical compensation of the optical fiber dispersion in the Intermediate Frequency (IF) domain. An integrated switchable electrical dispersion compensator allows the user to achieve a dispersion compensation of up to ± 5000ps/nm.
