Description:

The DSC-R801 is a four-element "Quad" PIN + Transimpedance + Limiting amplifier ideally suited for digital applications such as 100 Gb Ethernet (LR & ER). The high responsivity of Discovery's photodiode at both 1310nm and 1550nm results in a high single-ended conversion gain of 550 V/W and a high sensitivity of -12dBm. The R801 also offers a high optical overload of +4 dBm and a very low power dissipation of 200 mW per channel. The R801 is initially available with GPPO RF output connectors, however SMT and differential outputs are also available.
