Description

The DSC-R413 is an O/E instrument designed to convert DP-QPSK optical data to differential electrical signals. The R413 offers several user-adjustable characteristics such as RF gain, bandwidth, and mode of operation (AGC or manual gain control) and is ideally suited for a variety of applications. Additionally, the DC photocurrents of the balanced receivers are available for monitoring.

Description

The HLPD® Lab Buddy is a stand-alone remotely accessible instrument for O/E applications. It incorporates Discovery Semiconductor's state-of-the-art highly linear photodiode with high power handling capability. Its high phase linearity makes it particularly attractive for precise timing applications such as photonic clock, time and frequency transfer, and photonic ADC. The HLPD® Lab Buddy has a programmable bias voltage source that allows for highly linear operation at high input power and a built-in temperature controller for increased reliability. The bias and temperature can be set either from the front panel or via a remote computer interface. The HLPD® Lab Buddy monitors its bias, temperature, and average photocurrent in real-time.

Description

The R409 Lab Buddy is also available with an option 25-28 Gb/s clock and data recovery (CDR) unit. The unit conveniently interfaces with the bit error rate (BER) test stations and provide a 3R (Receive, Reshape & Retime) solution, which is especially important for transmission experiments. The CDR also incorporates a programmable input equalization filter that can be adjusted for optimum link performance using an included GUI control program.

Description

The DSC-R411 is a high-gain PIN + Transimpedance + Limiting amplifier ideally suited for both singlemode & multimode digital applications up to 43 Gb/s. Due to its high conversion gain of 900 V/W and differential GPPO RF outputs, the R411 can be connected directly to commercial CDR / DEMUX modules. The R411 also offers a high optical overload of > +2 dBm & a very low power dissipation of 200 mW.
