Discovery Semiconductors is now offering 10Gb PIN + TIA and 10Gb APD + TIA linear photoreceivers with true DC-coupled output that will drive into a 50 ohm load. These optical receivers may be used for applications such as:
- Burst Mode Communications
- Low Frequency Signaling
- Pulse Position Modulation (PPM)
- Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)
- Pulse Power Measurements
- Arbitrary Waveform Generation
The product at present is offered in Discovery’s easy-to-use Lab Buddy instrument. The PIN version can offer optical wavelength coverage from
800 nm to 1700 nm with standard InGaAs and from 1300 nm to 2200 nm with extended InGaAs. The APD version can offer optical wavelength coverage from 1064 nm to 1650 nm.
